2014 Light the Night Walk for LLS, a Huge Success!
Dr. Shahnaz Babaloui and the team at A+ Dental wish to thank all who participated in this year’s Light the Night Walk benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The annual event, which took place on November 1, 2014 in Frisco, TX was a huge success. Deep thanks to all who joined the effort with donations of their time and resources. Your commitment to the fight against blood cancer will help us overcome it.
A Personal Mission
Dr. Babaloui understands the serious nature of blood cancers more keenly than the average person. She and her husband Hamid Nazari lost their precious 8 ½ year old daughter, Nina Nazari, to Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2009.
Nina’s illness was short but aggressive. Losing her was devastating to their young family. In her memory, the couple has worked tirelessly to support research and treatment for leukemia and blood cancer patients.
The couple volunteer often to help support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) along with other organizations, as well as raise awareness for the disease. They do this to help advance treatment success as well as to honor the life of their precious daughter.
Fundraising for LLS
Part of Nina’s legacy is Team Princess Nina Nazari, the group of family and friends who walk each year in the Light the Night Walk for LLS. The group raises funds for the Society throughout the year.
This year’s fundraising totaled over $3700 to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Funds raised go directly toward assisting patients and families affected by blood cancer.
Your help is needed to support the patients and families affected by this terrible disease. You can donate on the Princess Nina Nazari page. You can also get involved in the fight against blood cancer by joining the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
