Our precious 8 1/2 year old daughter Nina Z. Nazari was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) on August 5th 2009. The same day, she was admitted to Medical City of Dallas Children's Hospital. For the next ten days, Nina underwent a very grueling and intensive course of chemotherapyin an effort to quickly bring her cancer under control. On the eleventh day, something went horribly wrong and Nina's health became worse. She was complaining of severe back pain, was getting high dosages of pain medication and antibiotics, however nothing was effective. Our precious daughter had a seizure and shortly after that she went into a coma. We lost Nina Zahra Nazari at 10:09 AM on August 17, 2009 at Medical City of Dallas Children's Hospital after losing a hard fought twelve day battle against leukemia.
In memory of their precious daughter, and in an effort to find a cure for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and other forms of leukemia that rob children and parents of precious time together, Dr. Babaloui together with her husband enthusiastically support the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
